In 2024, Madrid Artes Digitales approached us to elevate their already stunning immersive Titanic Experience. Their exhibition allowed visitors to step aboard the legendary ship through 360° projections and VR. The challenge? To deepen the immersion, enrich the narrative, and make the experience accessible to a global audience.

Step Aboard History: The Ultimate Titanic Experience
At over 1,200 square meters, this immersive spectacle transforms history into a tangible reality. Visitors don't just see the past; they live it. They explore the grand halls with the Callaghan family, witness the ship's tragic final moments, and feel the story unfold around them, all set to an original symphony soundtrack. As one visitor put it: "It was like being inside the Titanic." This is where technology meets emotion.

The Wintor Difference: Augmenting Reality
Our mission was to augment this powerful exposition, adding new layers of content that would engage visitors during their wait and provide seamless translations. Using the Wintor AR platform, we developed a rich digital layer that blended perfectly with the physical space.
This wasn't just about adding content; it was about bringing the story to life in new ways. We integrated:
Virtual Guides: Life-sized virtual guides, filmed on green-screen, were placed throughout the exhibit to share stories and guide visitors, making the experience personal and interactive.
Animated 3D Models: We used intricate 3D models to showcase the Titanic's revolutionary engineering and display historical artifacts as if they were right there in the room.
Interactive Quizzes: Engaging quizzes tested visitors' knowledge, turning historical education into a fun, gamified experience.
Multilingual Support: All new content was translated into five languages, managed effortlessly through our platform, ensuring every visitor could fully connect with the experience.
Leveraging Wintor’s Precision AR spot technology, we scanned each location within the venue. This allowed us to "pin" digital content to the physical world with accuracy, no markers required. The entire tour was set up with a single site visit, where we fine-tuned each spot to fit the unique architecture of the space.
Global Success and Seamless Expansion
The augmented experience has been an enormous success, drawing thousands of visitors each week. In 2025, the exhibit expanded to Munich and London, with more locations on the horizon. Thanks to the Wintor platform, setting up these new venues is a quick and easy process. All the rich, interactive content can be instantly reused; each new location simply requires a new set of precision scans to bring the Titanic's story to a new audience.
Ready to Build Your Own Immersive World?
The same technology that brought the Titanic back to life can transform your museum, city tour, corporate campus, or marketing event. Wintor AR is the all-in-one, no-code platform designed to help you create and share incredible location-based augmented reality experiences.
